About this event

Carbon Leadership Forum – Chicago Hub presents: Circular Economy in Practice – a 2-part series featuring practitioners and tools in support of promoting circular economy thinking. With embodied carbon top of mind, this series works to connect the dots across salvaging, design, procurement, and construction yielding the use of reclaimed, salvaged, repurposed, or re-used products in the built environment.

Part 2: Circular Economy Thinking: Design and Procurement (08.24.22)

It takes a special lens to watch for opportunities in circularity and put them to practice. Part 1 features 3 individuals responsible for evaluating the feasibility of reuse in design and procurement and changing AEC practices in the process. Each panelist represents a different phase of the design and procurement process. The panel will focus on where their efforts are connected, and where there’s a variance so we can all work collectively to solve observed process and feasibility gaps.

Panelists

  • Pam Francis, Schott Design
  • Andrew Ellsworth, Doors Unhinged
  • Anne Nicklin, Rebuilding Exchange

Panel discussion will be moderated by Juanita Garcia, Pepper Construction.
