Join Illinois Green Alliance for a live panel discussion on the intersection of wellness and decarbonization, graciously hosted by WSP Chicago.
Building decarbonization efforts are ramping up across the nation as we solidify targets and goals to combat climate change. Concurrently, the healthy building movement, spurred by the COVID-19 pandemic, is experiencing increased momentum to address the health and wellness of communities and workers through infrastructure updates and air and water quality monitoring. These healthy building actions are often assumed to work against decarbonization goals – but that is not always the case.
With diverse and extensive experience in sustainability and wellness, our panel will identify instances where decarbonization efforts can help create healthier environments, as well as cases where improving healthy building metrics are potentially associated with increased operational or embodied carbon. Join us to explore how we can holistically secure and support the health of both planet and people through wellness and sustainability.
