Aon Center: LEED Gold Tour

Join Illinois Green Alliance, USGBC, and JLL as we tour the iconic Aon Center to get a behind the scenes tour to learn more of how they achieved their LEED Gold Certification. With its stark white stone clad and being Chicago’s third-tallest building, the building has been a distinguished piece of the Chicago skyline since its construction finished in 1973. Aon first achieved LEED Gold for Existing Buildings Operation and Maintenance in 2014, its most recent recertification (LEED Gold with 63 points) was achieved under LEED v4.1 on December 22nd, 2023. Over the years, the building has undergone significant MEP retrofits, incorporated energy conservation measures (ECMs), and participated in the local utility rebate/incentive programs – resulting in substantial financial and energy savings.
