There is an Eliezer Yudkowsky quote that lives rent free in my mind - “You are personally responsible for becoming more ethical than the society you grew up in.” Our generation was born into a climate crisis, we can’t ignore it, and many of us feel a responsibility to play whatever part we can to mitigate it. This is why I volunteer with Illinois Green, to be a part of a community that brings together highly enthusiastic and driven professionals committed to improving our built environment and ensuring we leave this world a better place than we found it.
