I volunteer with Illinois Green because it gives me the opportunity to make my passions for sustainability and climate change actionable within my community. Chicago is not my hometown, but it is the place that has become home the last several years and I want to make sure I am giving back when and where I can. My childhood was shaped by my dad's mantra of "always leaving a place better than you found it" and the 4-H motto "to make the best better" and Illinois Green gives me the opportunity to do both.
