You’ll hear directly from the design team about programmatic elements that were influenced by Living Building Challenge imperatives.

The Academy for Global Citizenship (AGC) is a new early childhood and K-8 charter school located at the Cultivate Collective Campus on Chicago’s Southwest side. Built on the former site of LeClaire Courts, AGC anchors Cultivate Collective's six-acre campus. This facility includes a Head Start learning center, community health clinic, urban farm, market, community hall, and teaching kitchens.

AGC is a groundbreaking educational building that has achieved significant milestones in sustainable design and construction. It holds the distinction of being the first and largest Phius-certified school and is pursing the Living Building Challenge, showcasing its commitment to energy efficiency and environmental responsibility.
