On Saturday, June 4, join the Illinois Green Alliance Auxiliary Board in the Running to Net Zero Virtual 5k. We are chasing the same goal of making net zero buildings feasible, affordable and so commonplace that every building in Illinois by 2050 is net zero, but we need your help to achieve it!
We are asking for a donation of $25 to support the Illinois Green Schools Project, a program that fosters a sense of environmental stewardship in the next generation of green advocates that will run our anchor leg in this grand race.
Running to Net Zero will be a 5k race where participants can elect to run a route of their choosing (anywhere across the globe) or meet fellow runners at Chicago's Lincoln Park at 9 AM CST on Saturday, June 4th. The starting spot for the race is directly south of Kwa-Ma-Rolas Totem Pole. When registering, please indicate whether you intend to participate in-person at Lincoln Park.
By furnishing a donation, all participants are entered into a grand prize raffle. An additional prize will be awarded to top finishers!
