School Recruitment Volunteer
What is a 'School Recruitment Volunteer'?
A Green School Recruitment Volunteer will help to spread the word of the Illinois Green School Project by connecting with their local school, district, or school board and introducing the program and the benefits it provides to their students and community.
How does it work?
Once you sign up, an Illinois Green Alliance staff member will send you the Promotional Toolkit. This document includes a short informational video on how to share the program with your contacts, as well as links to flyers, videos, and email scripts. Once you feel comfortable with content - you are ready to outreach to your local school! But remember - school registration does end on September 26th, 2025 for the 2025-26 year.
Once school registrations have closed, a survey will be sent out to volunteers to hear about their outreach experience to uncover any lessons learned, tips and tricks, in preparation for the following year. At that time, the volunteer role has concluded.
