PRIMARY PURPOSE OF POSITION
Assume the role of subject matter expert (SME) to support the ongoing strategy and growing market adoption efforts across ComEd’s Customer Solutions department for Energy Efficiency Electrification (EEE). Develop and/or lead teams, deliver and manage innovative solutions for commercial and industrial customers regarding EEE. Provide and manage support for ComEd internal initiatives and programs including the IL Clean & Equitable Jobs Act, customer EEE behavioral studies, electronic interface tools and various corporate commitments. Lead, coordinate and manage downstream C&I EEE program implementation including measure and incentive design assistance, addressing market barriers and executing strategies to meet ComEd’s EEE savings goals. Coordinate with internal departments to identify new, cost-effective technologies for EEE and work with cross-functional teams to evaluate EEE products and develop viable implementation strategies. Collaborate with internal departments to develop processes to exchange information related to EEE and potential capacity/grid impacts. Participate in working groups across ComEd to provide support/expertise regarding EEE.
Position is located at ComEd’s Energy Solutions Center office in Oak Brook and has a flexible, hybrid working arrangement but occasionally may be required to work extended hours, including 24 x 7 coverage during storms or other energy delivery related emergencies.
PRIMARY DUTIES AND ACCOUNTABILITIES
Lead, coordinate and manage downstream C&I EEE program implementation including measure and incentive design assistance, addressing market barriers and executing strategies to meet ComEd’s EEE savings targets.
Coordinate with internal R&D department to identify new, cost-effective technologies for EEE and work with cross-functional teams to evaluate EEE products and develop viable implementation strategies.
Build knowledge of / relationships with contractors, suppliers and distributors specializing in EEE projects both inside and outside of ComEd territory.
Support EEE outreach, recruitment, technical assistance across C&I programs’ managers and implementation contractors.
Utilize EEE expertise and knowledge of statutory requirements to assist with the development of EEE assessment tools/approaches.
Collaborate with internal departments to develop processes to exchange information related to EEE and potential capacity/grid impacts.
Participate in working groups across ComEd to provide support/expertise regarding EEE.
JOB SCOPE
Assist in planning, and subsequently implement and manage energy efficiency programs as part of a portfolio approved by the state utility commission. Fulfill the day-to-day requirements to serve customers participating in energy efficiency programs.
Hire and provide daily oversight of various sub-contractors and program fulfillment vendors.
Develop the necessary performance metrics and track them to ensure that programs are delivered according to state utility commission rules and regulations to ensure cost recovery. Ensure that Company exposure to litigation risk is minimized.
Manage all customer relations’ issues arising out of energy efficiency programs.
Provide data analysis and subject matter expertise in responding to state utility commission requests or implementation of state utility commission orders. This includes annual reporting of results.

Qualifications
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor’s degree in Business or Engineering and 4-7 years of energy conservation / energy efficiency work experience OR in lieu of degree, 6-9 years energy conservation / energy efficiency experience is required.
Demonstrated ability to work within established budgets and deliver promised results.
Thorough understanding of utility cost recovery mechanisms.
Ability to communicate with and coordinate with a wide variety of professionals ranging from engineers to vendors, to subcontractors.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
• Graduate degree or Graduate level work in Engineering, Business Administration or Project Management Certification
• Licensed Professional Engineer
• Strong teamwork, interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate with all management levels.
• Strong technical writing, oral communication and presentation skills
• Program management experience
• Ability to analyze industry wide trends and implement enhancements.
• Familiarity with commercial & industrial, new and emerging technologies, business models, policies, programs and strategies related to EEE.
• Ability to work on multiple projects and/or leading multiple teams, following specific timelines/due dates.
