To document this impact for buildings, we provide certification assistance for projects under these certification systems: LEED, WELL, Living Building Challenge, Enterprise Green Communities, Green Globes, and BREEAM. Our team works closely with our clients, from project planning through completion, to assure the prescribed environmental, health, and wellness objectives are incorporated into and properly documented for the project. ROLE
As the LEED Certification Quality Lead, you will lead a team of reviewers for the success of LEED sustainability certifications through third-party technical reviews of projects. You work closely with the Compliance team and external stakeholders to manage and perform reviews and quality assurance for the LEED certification programs while ensuring a positive customer experience. You have experience managing existing and building new client relationships and can present technical concepts, challenges, and solutions to non-technical stakeholders. You will also serve as a partner to the Director of Certification, LEED in developing future-focused sustainability services.

You have a passion for sustainability, health and wellness, project management, technical details, and effective collaboration. You enjoy bringing clarity to technical language and focusing on the application of clear, measurable outcomes. You are a self-starter and detail-oriented with a deep understanding of green-building certification rating systems.

As an ideal candidate, you have a background in the design and construction industry with a minimum of five years of experience working on green building, healthy building, and high-performance projects utilizing the LEED certification programs.

RESPONSIBILITIES
● Perform high quality in-depth technical reviews and analysis of building design, construction, and operations for compliance with LEED rating systems
● Effectively communicate technical requirements through written communications to the project team
● Provide technical and operational client support for projects pursuing and evaluating LEED Certification
● Perform quality control (QC) and quality assurance (QA) review of work done by other Certification Reviewers
● Contribute to the continued development and technical knowledge of the review process through collaborative teamwork
SKILLS
● Demonstrated experience leading successful green building certifications
● Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple phased projects
● Ability to read, understand and interpret building floor plans, sections, site plans, construction specifications, mechanical schedules, commissioning reports and operational policies
● Detailed technical understanding of and experience with common environmental building codes and standards (e.g., ASHRAE 90.1, ASHRAE 62.1, ASHRAE 55)
● Strong advocate for ensuring the team is happy, engaged, and challenged
● Proactive in identifying process improvements
● Ability to self-initiate to meet project and review milestones
● Ability to build deep and meaningful relationships with others
● Ability to provide others with effective coaching and mentoring
● Strong sense of personal responsibility and accountability for delivering high quality work
● Exceptional written and verbal communication
● Education: Bachelor’s degree required. A degree in architecture, interior design or engineering is preferred.
● Rating Systems: Demonstrated experience with LEED BD+C or ID+C rating systems. Experience with WELL certification and WELL Health Safety Rating (HSR) a plus
● Credentials: LEED AP BD+C or ID+C is required; LEED AP O+M, WELL AP and LFA are a plus
