For thousands of years, wood has been one of the primary building materials.

Now, with recent innovations in processing and design, it’s finding new life in modern architecture. Mass-timber construction is a viable stand-in for standard concrete and steel for many notable reasons, including comparable strength-to-weight ratio, reduced costs, build timelines, good insulation properties, visual aesthetics, improved health and structural performance characteristics, and a lower carbon footprint.
