Earth Day is every day at Illinois Green!

We’ve compiled a few actions to help you show your support for green buildings this Earth Day. We hope you join us in working to advance a resilient, healthy, and bright future for Illinois.

1) Show your support for the Clean Energy Jobs Act

In the next six weeks, lawmakers will consider a bold new comprehensive energy policy for Illinois that will have huge impacts on energy efficiency in buildings and ramp up renewable energy development. If passed this spring, it will put Illinois on the path to 100% renewable energy by 2050, cut carbon from the power sector by 2030, and create jobs and economic opportunity for every part of Illinois.

2) Share the Neighborhood Power Project with a nonprofit

The Neighborhood Power Project, a collaboration between the Environmental Defense Fund, Elevate Energy, and Illinois Green Alliance, is dedicated to supporting nonprofit buildings meet their sustainable operations goals.

Our team provides pro-bono services to nonprofits to work towards building efficiency and sustainability, and promote environmental leadership in communities all over the city. Download the flyer and share with a community organization you know who could benefit from this program.

3) Explore our Energy Efficiency at Home resource page
